Brian Ryznic, Custom Home Shop’s General Manager, started in the construction business in 1988 as a roofer specializing in tile roofs then transitioned into framing. He advanced to lead carpenter and managed crews for more than decade, at which time he was promoted to superintendent. In this role, he was in charge of the framing, concrete form crew, and waterproofing crew in an upscale neighborhood.

In 2007 Brian started up a remodel company that he owned and operated for 10 years. In 2017, he returned to his position as superintendent where he built multi-million dollar houses along Highway 30A. In his current role as general manager, Brian runs our Modular House Plant in DeFuniak Springs.

Jeff Burns has served as Custom Home Shop’s Quality Control Officer since September 2020. His primary role is inspecting and approving work to ensure homes meet or exceed building codes, our company’s high standards, and the expectations of our customers. His responsibilities also include developing Custom Home Shop’s Quality Control Manual and assessing the processes for building homes in a controlled environment.

Before his employment with Custom Home Shop, Jeff owned and operated a successful home improvement company (Burns Home Improvement and Repair). Prior to this, he worked 33 years in the communications industry where he spent three years in network construction, seven years in the technical operations for customer sites, three years as the lead technical operations engineer for the network, and 20 years as an operations manager covering a substantial portion of the Southeast United States.

During his time as an Operations Manager, Jeff was responsible for the daily operations of a broadband network and telecommunications voice network, all customer-facing network activity, project management of network build outs, building construction and maintenance, and the disaster mitigation and recovery department for a multibillion-dollar network.
